Confluence is the official academic journal of the International Studies Department, published and supported by the International Studies Student Association (ISSA). It publishes once a year and features the views and opinions of undergraduate and graduate students as they explore regional, national and international topics related to race, class, environment, power, politics, history and more. Confluence aims to connect students across departments to start important conversations relating to global issues.
Fall 2021: Disruption!Confluence Academic Journal is now officially accepting submissions for its upcoming third edition, to be published in Fall 2021.
Confluence welcomes submissions from all SFU undergraduate and graduate students from all fields relating to International Studies, including but not limited to International Relations, Political Science, Gender Studies, Economics and History. Accepted submissions include:
